What Repairs Should I Make Before Selling My New Brunswick, NJ Home?

Pre-sale repairs in New Brunswick aren't about perfection—they're ROI multipliers in a market where buyers scrutinize every detail. As the repair-reveal expert at Tverdov Housing, overseeing 150+ preps the biggest thing is the low hanging fruit that will come up during a CO inspection. Watch a video here of me explaining what to look for.

Top tier: Curb appeal – tidy up the landscaping (trim any over growth, add some mulch to make the place look nice) and some fresh paint on the outside if you have a porch helps. Interior: paint where you can, peeling paint is a sign of a poorly run property. Check the basement for any plumbing leaks and fix them. If there is junk in the basement remove it. All of these items will come up when the city inspects before issuing a CO so you might as well get ahead of it.

You can always sell “as-is” I personally have sold plenty of houses like that in New Brunswick but you need to understand it does scare off some buyers and only the savvy investor is going to understand.
